The SoftLift® can be used in a variety of clinical procedures where organ and tissue grasping, retracting or manipulation is required, such as: |
• Tubal Ligations • Hysterectomies • Oopherectomies |
• Myomectomies • Ectopic Pregnancies • Cystectomies |
• Cholecystectomies • Tuboplasties • Dermoid Cysts |
• Endometriomas • Transvaginal Hysterectomies • Bowel |
|
 |
The following diagrams illustrate use of the SoftLift in Post-Partum Tubal Ligation, Ovarian Cyst Elevation & Removal, and Transvaginal Ovarian Manipulation procedures:
Post-Partum Tubal Ligation |
 |
- Insert the vacuum cup into the incision at the cornua posterior
- Activate SoftLift’s vacuum
- Retract SoftLift laterally and elevate cornua medially to incision
- The fallopian tube is now easily visualized to grasp and ligate
|
|
 |
Ovarian Cyst Elevation and Removal
- Insert the vacuum cup into the incision
and onto the cyst wall
- Activate SoftLift’s vacuum
- Drain the cyst at the contact point of the
cyst and vacuum cup (vacuum integrity
will be maintained)
- Lift the cyst through the incision to
facilitate oopherectomy or cystectomy
|
 |
|
 |
Transvaginal Ovarian Manipulation
- Insert the vacuum cup onto the ovarian
cyst noted at vaginal hysterectomy
- Activate SoftLift’s vacuum
- Gently exert traction toward the
operator laterally bring the pedicle into
view (drainage is optimal at points
where tissue comes in contact with
vacuum cup)
- Pedicle can be clamped and adnexa
removed
